006 The Plumber and the ParrotThere was an old woman who had a parrot. This bird only knew how to say one thing which was “who is it?” One day, the woman went out to do some grocery shopping. While she was out, the plumber arrived. The woman had forgotten that she had made an appointment with him earlier in the week. He rang the doorbell. The parrot called out: “who is it?” To which the man replied: “it’s the plumber, I’ve come to fix the sink. ” He waited about a minute. But when no one came to the door, the plumber rang the doorbell again. And the parrot called out: “who is it?” The plumber answered a little more loudly this time, thinking the old woman might be hearing impaired: “It’s the plumber, I’ve come to fix the sink. ” Again, he waited. But still, no one came to the door. He was starting to get a little annoyed. The man rang the bell for the third time. And again, the parrot called out: “who is it?” And the man yelled angrily “it’s the plumber, I’ve come to fix the sink!” Still, no one came to the door. By now he had run out of patience and this time he banged on the door with both fists. And once again, the parrot cried out “Who is it?” By this time the plumber was having a real hissy fit and began to yell at the top of his lungs: “IT’S THE PLUMBER, I’VE COME TO FIX THE SINK!!!!!” He had worked himself up into such a frenzy that had a heart attack and died right there on the spot. About an hour later, the old woman came home to find the dead man at her doorstep. She wondered who this man was and asked, “Who is it?” And the parrot replied: “it’s the plumber, he’s come to fix the sink”. And now the old woman’s parrot can say two things. That’s all for now. See you next time!
