Born in Big Lake, Texas, Robert Gaylon Ross, Sr. holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University. While active in engineering, he was a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, and a National Certified Manufacturing Engineer. After graduation, he accepted a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant (later promoted to 1st Lt.) in the Army Security Agency (ASA), a branch of the National Security Agency (NSA), which is a big brother to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). A county correctional complex had been enduring high noise levels in their first floor office area for approximately 10 years when they contacted Unger Technologies. The noise was emanating from a basement mechanical room located directly below the offices. After continuous complaints from administrative staff and officers, management decided to address the noise problem and called Unger Technologies. It was determined that the primary noise generator was a large Liquid Cooled Chiller which exceeded 100 dBA above the unit.
