We've already started off this evening in pretty hilarious fashion. Now we keep the energy levels high and straddle the rock/pop boundary.

Is it just me, or did the audience simultaneously get both older and younger all of a sudden? Interesting that the youngest band would draw the biggest fanbase here.

In which we create a bridge between the solo acts and full bands with a stripped down acoustic duo.

In which the rotating stagelight proves very distracting indeed. I think you want to save that for the bigger bands.

In which another familiar face brings in the thumping percussion loops.

In which I get a sense of deja vu from the last all-dayer I did, as Ashley does another short, wispy-voiced set. Well, the girls seem to like it anyway.

A proper synth band using big banks of keyboards instead of just one and a laptop? Haven't seen one of those in aaaages. Let's see what kinds of cool sounds they can coax out of them.

In which we have one of those bands which switch instruments for every song. Music is in whatever you have lying around at the time, not just expensive studios.

In which we go for the classic 60's songwriting influences. Better to aim high, isn't it.

And so we reach the end of the day. On time, and with no cancellations or schedule shuffles as well, which definitely deserves some kudos. Even the final act doesn't string out their performance.

In which things approach their close with another short set.

Now this is a face I haven't seen in years, since my open mic days. Good to see him still going.

In which we have no lyrics, so we can concentrate all the more on the melody, and find out which pop songs actually have good ones.

The Fleece regularly does 8 hour, 10 band shows on Sundays. This week, they decide to try something even more ambitious and do 20 acoustic acts in 10 hours. I'm definitely interested in seeing if they can pull that off. First up, we have some loopstation fun, which shows it still won't be entirely acoustic guitar singer songwriter stuff, thank god.

After a long day, much of the audience have already gone home. They ought to regret that decision, because our last act absolutely dominate the stage with their outfits and dance moves.

Old school live drum and bass sounds fronted by a sexy secretary? Yes please. After a whole load of guitar bands, we're finally getting the electronic music I came here for.

In which the band try to do a spectacular entrance, which would work a little better if they hadn't only just left the stage after setting up.

In which we get a bit vampire weekend with the guitar lines.

In which the band turn down the distortion just as my recorder turns it up. There's irony for you.

As is often the case, the headliners get a substantially improved sound mix compared to the support bands. All the better to move to, my dear.
