I took a wrong turn and ended up at Lionsgate where I caught a glimpse of one of the largest ski challenges of the year on the chairlift - the Vail ski classic. These skiiers were flying! Did one of them crash? Whoops! Gotta watch the video to find out!

I managed to get an interview with Kathy Cole of Coldwell Banker as she shared insights about the Vail real estate market and what an incredible time to buy it is. People are getting creative, and most importantly, getting deals! At 30% to 40% off!

We took a ride with Wild Bill up the chairlift. Bill shares with us his love for Vail. He was on of the world's first snowboarders and he's been skiing Vail for 30 years. Watch as Bill does his "tell all" for what keeps him coming back for more!

It was a mahvelous day on top of Vail mountain. This was part of our Viscape video blog tour of Vail. We took in the blue sky heaven above us and enjoyed the cozy snow melt beneath. Two elk is pretty much the center of all the action on Vail.

Ski area planned for Pikes Peak 350 condos, 300-room hotel may be included.John Ball, former CEO of Eller Industries, a Boulderbased broadband company, has a contract with local climbing legend Harvey Carter to buy 320 acres south of The Crags. He plans to build The Resort at Pikes Peak, a renewable-energy-powered ski area with slopeside condos. Ball envisions a community hill used mainly by residents of El Paso and Teller counties. It could eventually include five chairlifts, 33 ski trails, three restaurants, a 300-room hotel and 350 condos. It would be part of a trend in niche family hills that survive in the shadows of corporate giants like Vail Resorts by being closer to cities and therefore more convenient for skiers and snowboarders. "It would be like Eldora, just above Boulder," Ball said Wednesday.
