During it's three year weekly run on syndicated cable TV, Christy English's garage band show had diverse musical styles. On this show from 1980, a band called Media upset the musical applecart with a mix of rock, punk and jazz combined in their style.

From 1981, Christy English's cable series musica; guests, Hillbilly Jazz, had the uncanny sound and musical style that their name implied, a hybrid of hillbilly country and modern jazz.
