When the elliptical new drama teacher at Stellar Plains High School chooses for the school play Lysistrata -- the comedy by Aristophanes in which women stop having sex with men in order to end a war -- a strange spell seems to be cast over the school. Or, at least, over the women. One by one throughout the high school community, perfectly healthy, normal women and teenage girls turn away from their husbands and boyfriends in the bedroom, for reasons they don't really understand. The booth was Persona on a larger scale than Travis had ever attempted; an experiment in both photography and anthropology. Travis manned the CNN Grill, camera in hand, as the CNN Persona booth at the trade show gave his photo series an interactive, iReport-style touch. More than 700 festival attendees from around the world took pictures of themselves and the things they carried via remote, and shared demographic data at the booth to create a profile. Always thought they were a little cliche, but what the hell. It's a new year, a chance at a new beginning. A fresh start. Today I want to share with you my beginning, and hopefully it will help you to mark yours. You see I have been on a mission to get lean and ripped abs for as long as I can remember. This is probably as a result of being a fat kid, and going through what they call the "chubby phase". Each week I will be posting a new video of my progress, along with photos, measurements, etc. Along the way I will share with you the plan that I have shared with the Rippedology team. So you can see what we are doing, and why we are doing it. As the tag line says. Rippedology is about making Fat Loss Simple. In order to get rid of all the stubborn body fat we have to work with our bodies, and not against them. You may be asking what the hell do I know. In spite of my failures in the past, I have learned an amazing amount about how the body works, and how we build muscle and lose fat. About two years ago, I stumbled onto some science that I earlier dismissed as B.S. It was when I began to question the very foundation of my beliefs that I saw amazing results. And I lost a lot of body fat effortlessly while maintaining muscle, sanity, and my health. Plus as an added bonus, it was a lot of fun! I'll tell you more soon. But I slipped, due to the stress of a brutal divorce, and custody battle.This week my plan is to start a little lazily. Which I recommend for anyone beginning a new plan. I will begin implementing rippedology fasting protocol, as well as calorie cycling. Also a day of weight training to kick us off.
