Am Höhepunkt seiner Macht ist er angekommen, als er ordensgeschmückt im aufkeimenden Gewitter ein Kaiserdenkmal einweihen und sich hier chauvinistisch in Rage reden kann. Der Apparat der PSK bzw. PSV wurde einhergehend mit einer Skandalisierung seiner verdeckt ausgefuehrten Ausforschungs- und Einwirkungstaetigkeit im bundesdeutschen Inland zum Ende der 80er Jahre aufgeloest. Über eine sogenannte ´Studiengesellschaft fuer Zeitprobleme e.V.` waren getarnte Propagandaprodukte der Bundeswehr an vermeintlich wehrkritische Zielgruppen in der BRD lanciert worden. Aus der in Waldbruel angesiedelten ´Akademie fuer Psychologische Verteidigung` wird 1990 die ´Akademie fuer Information- und Kommunikation der Bundeswehr`(AIK). Spezialisten der PSV uebernehmen die leitenden Positionen der neuen Dienststelle, die dem Presse- und Informationsstab des Verteidigungsministeriums zugeordnet wird. Sie untersteht direkt dem zeitgleich im PR-/ Infostab neu gegruendeten ´Grundsatzreferat` und dient als ´Thinktank` fuer die Oe–ffentlichkeitsarbeit im Inland.
